My Christmas Card Stash Is Low! Blog Hop -

Hello Friends -
I hope you have had a great week!

Welcome if you have not stopped by the Tool Shed before!  Please become a follower and let me know you were here.

I love a blog hop and this one is getting me ahead of the game and goes along with a challenge blog that I have been watching . . . Festive Friday.

I used their Theme Challenge - Rustic Country Theme to create my card.

Editors Note:  Okay so I have issues.  I was not in love with how the birdhouse in the original photo was just sitting on nothing.  I did not have time to change card, re-photograph and edit the new photo before well, now.  I added a bit of scalloped snowflake paper and moved the cardstock sticker.  Yes, I changed the bow too . . . because I hardly ever make a plain bow and I do not know why I did that.  I usually make loops and tie in the middle.  Now I feel better and thank you for letting me share all of that!  LOL!

Oh and I see in the comments - How did I do the glitter on the roof?  I used a glue pen and made it wavy, added the glitter, let it dry and free-hand cut it out wavy.

This is a 5.5" x 4.25" card.

Happy Valentine's Day -

Hello Friends -
I hope your day is pink and red and filled with chocolate covered yummies!!

I was so happy with how this card turned out!  It made me smile.

Just a side note.  I realize I photographed the card before I decided to glitter the pink heart.  And all of these cards are long in the mail {LOL!}.  So envision sparkly glitter . . . . I could take a photo of the floor around my stamp space and that will give you the idea!

Second side note . . . corner round the card before using the embossing folder.  One could tear the base if the emboss is too high.

And if I were really going to mass produce this card (more than 12 cards) I would have made it 4" x 4" for a whole lot less paper cutting since I used 12" x 12" sheets.  But I thought of that after I had embossed all of the card bases from 8.5" x 11" cardstock.  Oh well!  I really do love looking at this paper.  And I used the scraps to make tags for the teacher gifts.

Happy Heart Day to you!

Mojo Monday - Challenge 279

Hello Friends -
I hope you are having a great weekend!

I am on all out Valentine's Day mode!  So much fun!

I saw this sketch challenge from Mojo Monday and knew I had the right frame to make it work!  I strayed a bit from the sketch.  I did not want to make the card too thick.  I have a little treat to enclose and I did not want the extra bulk of more paper layers.

Happy Day to you -

Pink and Yellow Congratulations -

Hello Friends -
I hope you have had a great week!

It certainly went by quickly for me!  Sorry I have been gone for a week.  It is a busy time at my part-time "away from the home" job.  And the weather here has not been conducive for short trips in the car!

On to the fun!

I needed a girly congratulations card this week and needed some inspiration.  And I found it at Link Up For Pink.  Though I am realizing I missed entering their Challenge #9, I was inspired with the colors and flowers.

Happy Day to you -

A Gift For My Sweetheart Blog Hop -

Hello Friends -

Welcome to A Gift For My Sweetheart Blog Hop!

If you came from Lissa Marie's blog www.somanycrafts.com you are hopping in the right direction.

I think Valentine's Day is so much fun.  I love giving little treats to everyone - the teachers, co-workers, neighbors and friends.  I have been know to walk along with a basket of goodies on Valentine's Day.  I know . . . I am corny!  And I am okay with it.

Please enjoy a possible prototype for this year's treat . . .

I felt like the tag looked too . . . flat.  So, I added the band looped around the tag for some dimension.  Too crazy, maybe?  Totally impractical, yes.  But much more fun!
Let me know what you think.
