Green Is Good Blog Hop -

Hello Friends -
Hope you are having a good weekend!

Welcome if you are new to the Tool Shed!  Thank you for stopping by . . . please become a follower and let me know you were here.

Today, we are celebrating Earth Day 2013!

Use your scraps of paper instead of  recycling them.  Run the back of a finished notebook though your favorite die cut machine to make your own chipboard pieces.  Every little bit is green!

Now if you know me you know I am a gardener and composting is my thing!  Composting can be very easy and makes a difference in your garden space.  Give it a try . . . and if you compost properly it does not smell.   Really.

On to my card . . .

This is a 5.5" x 4.25" card.

I had some magenta dye from a fabric project left over in a bucket and it was too pretty to throw out.  So I cut some canvas and put it in the bucket over night.  The next day I pulled it out, rinsed the canvas and rung some of the excess mixture out on paper towels - which turned pink.  I let the paper towels dry and had my own pink paper!  It was two ply so when I doubled it to run through my Big Shot I had 4 of every flower that is why it looks so fluffy (I used 6 flowers).  I poked 2 holes through the middle of the group, did a stitch of embroidery floss and tied a knot.

Like the bicycle paper?  Be green!
